TEAMS AT 5.7% VOTES FROM 1 MILLION TARGET
MBABANE – With four days to go before voting lines are closed in the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup voting exercise, the 24 teams have managed just 5.7 votes of the targeted one million votes.
By the end of business yesterday, the teams had accumulated a mere 57 159 votes - 29 days after lines were opened. Defending champions Mbabane Swallows remain top with 12 344 with security services side Young Buffaloes, Green Mamba and Royal Leopard completing the all important top four brackets, respectively.
Lines will be closed on Sunday at midnight with the top four voting teams set to battle it out in the tournament’s main day at Somhlolo National Stadium next Sunday (August 8).
