MBABANE – The wait for supporters to get tickets for the prestigious King’s Super Cup is almost over.

All roads lead to Somhlolo National Stadium, where the historic tournament featuring two of the country’s best sides at the moment, Royal Leopard and Mbabane Swallows as well South African soccer heavyweights, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, takes centre stage on July 18. Tournament PRO Dumisani ‘DU’ Sibandze, said 10 000 tickets would be on sale for local supporters in all Shoprite outlets as of next Friday.

“The tickets will be sold for four days locally between 10 and 13 July. Supporters from the rest of the continent will get hold of the tickets from the following day.”
Each ticket costs only E250 while a price for a VIP is twice the amount.

Sibandze said the visiting teams were expected in the country two days before the tournament and would meet Their Majesties to get ‘blessings’.

“From meeting Their Majesties, the South African teams will have their first training session which will be open to the media. The session on the next day will be closed.”
Sibandze reminded companies, both big and small, to buy tables for the dinner to be held on the 16th for E15 000.

According to the draw of the one-day tournament conducted late last month, Swallows will face Chiefs at 9am while Leopard have a date with Orlando Pirates two hours later.
