Mbabane – Correctional sharp shooter, Jabu Khathwane needs no introduction.
She has become synonymous with the green and white outfit since coming on board about nine years ago, winning countless league titles with her side.

She was also part of the national Under-21 side that earned a bronze medal in Botswana about seven years ago. A few years later, the 31-year-old has starred for the senior national team, helping the outfit to earn their first podium finish in Africa after earning bronze in continental netball showpiece in Botswana this week.

She scored more than half of the 167 goals for the team in the African Championships. The bubbly player is the only player to have played in all Team Swaziland’s four games without being substituted.  Possessing strong passing and shooting skills, she has almost everything one would want from a goal attacker or shooter.

Her quick reactions in dealing with passes and rebounds further give her an edge.
The Times Sports Desk (TSD) caught up with the ‘lady of the moment’ immediately after the getting her bronze medal with Thobile Nzama’s charges on Wednesday and she had this to say:

“We’re from different teams but we played as a unit. Team spirit earned us the medal. We told ourselves from day one that we wanted to compete. We were just eager to leave a mark. Earning a medal was a bonus.

“We were motivated during the tournament, so we’re ready for any team. I believe in the team as well as the management. I think they should be given more time with the team,” she said.
