LOBAMBA – The Prime Minister Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini yesterday rewrote the country’s history pages when he paid a courtesy call to Sihlangu with a bag full of goodies.

It was the first time for the premier to visit the squad at their camp base, the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) Technical Centre.

On behalf of his Cabinet team, he presented the Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga-led side with E20 000 pocket money for their trip to Angola.
Sihlangu leave the country for Angola on Thursday to honour the second leg of the CHAN qualifier against the hosts.

Sihlangu need at least a 3-3 draw to advance to the next stage of the competition or any type of win after playing to a 2-2 draw against the Angolans in the first leg clash played at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Yesterday, the prime minister heaped praises on the squad for their wonderful performances of late, imploring them to keep up the great showing in the international scene.
“We are so lucky because Their Majesties support sports and that is why we are grateful to the King for seeing it fit to establish the Ministry of Sports. Sihlangu is the King’s team and indeed the nation’s. We are proud of you and your achievement and we want to assure you that the nation is behind you all the way.

“On behalf of the entire Cabinet, let me take this opportunity to present to you this sum of money, which will be your pocket money and hope it will motivate you to do even better,” he said, to the applause of the players and management.
