LOBAMBA – The Swaziland Gold Union (SGU) has accepted, with a heavy heart, that its development coach Johannes ‘Joe’ Dlamini has passed on.

The union feels that he has left a void they will struggle to fill.
This was said during his memorial service at the St Mary’s Catholic Church at Lobamba yesterday afternoon.
SGU President Sibusiso Motsa described Dlamini as a person whose love to impart knowledge and skill of the sport to children knew no bounds.
“He was of great help in the development aspect of the sport.

He was dedicated and loved working with children so much that at one point we did not have money to pay his salary due to economic challenges but he said he would continue to work because it was his passion and did not mind working without pay. He really did a commendable job and his daughter (Nobuhle), who now plays professionally, is testimony to this.”
