MANZINI – After a poor league season, Manzini Wanderers’ supporters have called for the sacking of almost the whole team.

In fact, the disgruntled Weslians followers want 80 percent of them sacked with goalkeeper Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza top of the list.
In their crisis’ general meeting yesterday at the Manzini Library which was attended by the Council of Elders including the structure’s Chairman Sipho Ntshalintshali and his vice Mike Mangwe, the over 70 supporters all called for a complete overhaul of the club’s playing staff.

However, the Management Committee (MC), Managing Director Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila and the National Supporters Committee (NSC) were not in attendance to present their reports and the agenda had to be skipped until the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) whereby all the above are expected to attend.

“We were almost relegated not only because of our leadership but also because we have kept a bunch of old and undisciplined players who have at times faked injuries at the expense of the club,” said one supporter who got a huge round of applause.
About six other speakers in the meeting insisted that the players with Ginindza’s name always cropping up be changed if they were to compete next season.

“We must be aware that some of these players belong to certain people in the team which has killed us because they can’t be disciplined and do as they please. It’s time we copy teams like Mbabane Highlanders who went to the regions and got new and young but talented players who have done well,” observed another supporter.

The supporters even suggested teams and players they had seen good players who could fit in their style of play with one at Pigg’s Peak’s Manchester United and two others at Mahlangatsha in Nsangwini FC.
