RUSTENBURG – Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga has a headache of migraine proportions, as the Sihlangu casualty ward at Sihlangu keeps on swelling.
The latest players to sustain injuries are speedy marksman Mthunzi ‘Xavi’ Mkhontfo and overlapping left back Sanele Mkhweli.

Both sustained knee injuries on Monday during Sihlangu’s 1-0 win over Tanzania in both teams’ opening encounters played at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.
Mkhweli did light training yesterday morning, while Mkhontfo watched from the sidelines, as the rest of the players sweated it out.

The squad’s doctor, Charles Mdluli, was busy administering medication on the players, whose injuries have brought the total number of injuries to the 20-member travelling squad to four.
Still struggling with injuries is the duo of attacking midfielder Felix Badenhorst and striker Sandile Hlatjwako. “I cannot say for a fact now whether they will recover on time for the game or not because we still have the whole day today (yesterday) to see if they can play any art against Lesotho. In any case we have capable replacements, who would fill their void,” said Bulunga after their morning training session yesterday.

Both players contributed positively to the squad’s impressive showing against Tanzania, as Sihlangu won 1-0 to go top of Group B alongside Madagascar.
One team will qualify for the quarter-final showdown against guest nation, Ghana.
