MBABANE - The SKRUM Programme received a shot in the arm as they were presented with 280 rugby balls by Marlborough College.

The balls will be used in the schools rugby programme. Swaziland Rugby Union (SRU) President Mike Collinson announced yesterday. He said the country had a long standing sponsorship of SKRUM with the Marlborough College.

Marlborough College is an independent school for day and boarding pupils located in Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.
“The balls have been branded with the SKRUM and Marlborough College logos and will be used in the schools rugby programme.” Collinson, who is also the SKRUM Chief Executive Officer (CEO), said he was highly delighted with the donation.

“When we heard about the rugby balls donation from Marlborough, we couldn’t believe it. Marlborough College has been so supportive of SKRUM here in the country. The donation of rugby balls is a part of Marlborough’s ongoing support for SKRUM and what we are trying to achieve,” Collinson said.

“While we were in the United Kingdom recently, Marlborough College committed its further support for SKRUM. It has seen what huge strides we are making with SKRUM and schools rugby development here in the country. Everyone here at SKRUM and the Swaziland Rugby Union cannot thank the staff and pupils enough for their support and generosity.” he said.
