EZULWINI – SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele has already hinted about possibilities of renewing the current sponsorship deal which runs until 2017.

The bank signed a three-year deal with its partners; the FA and PLS for the annual SwaziBank Cup tournament, currently sponsored to the tune of E2.2 Million this year.

Addressing about 300 guests at last night’s prize presentation ceremony held at the Royal Swazi Convention Centre, Lukhele said they were in the process of sitting down with their partners on the possibilities of penning down a new deal.

This was after watching over 12 000 spectators packed at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday to watch Moneni Pirates beat Manzini Wanderers 2-0 to be crowned the seventh winners of the competition in its 12th edition.

Among the spectators was His Majesty King Mswati III who made his fifth appearance since 2009 in the final. “It is with great pleasure that today we celebrate the success of the ‘Ngiyo Ngiyo’ edition of the SwaziBank Cup. It is also with great humbleness and respect that I sincerely thank His Majesty King Mswati III and the royal family for gracing the finals on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.

His Majesty has been personally attending SwaziBank Cup finals since 2009, with the exception of 2010 and 2014 which was due to other commitments,” he said

He also paid special tribute to the nation for the support given to the bank.
