MBABANE – Even before this evening’s sitting of the FA DC, Manzini Wanderers have already brought some spark in the misconduct charges faced by the club and four of the five players charged.

The maroon and white outfit in their heads of argument following last Friday’s charges by the SwaziBank Cup Management Committee (MC) on the semi-final incident have punched many holes in referee Thulani Sibandze’s report and the committee on numerous things pertaining to the charges.

The club has instructed lawyers from Mabila Attorneys in Mbabane and in the letter written to Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) CEO John Mazibuko in his capacity as SwaziBank Cup MC Secretary, they are representing the quartet of; Sandile ‘Theo’ Motsa, Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza, Sidumo Shongwe and Gcina ‘Kwere’ Mazibuko who have been charged for violating Article 8.(1) (ii) (c) by threatening to assault Sibandze.

They are seeking clarity on the charges preferred against the players in this regard. In particular they want to be advised if the players were penalised for their action on the field of play as provided for by the FIFA laws of the game.

“Did the alleged threats to assault by each of our clients occur during the course of the game or after the game? If they occurred during the course of the game, did the referee take any penalty action against any or each of them as provided for in the laws of the game as issued by FIFA. If he did not, why did he not do so?” reads part of the letter.

The club also seeks clarification on whether the alleged threat made was either by words or by conduct.
“Was the alleged threat by words or by conduct? If same was by words, kindly provide us with the specific words uttered. However, if they were by conduct, kindly inform us of the nature of the said conduct,” reads part of the letter.
