MBABANE – The National Under-23 technical bench headed by Caleb Ngwenya has decided to release the players back to their teams for the weekend league games.

The squad has been in full-time camp since last Sunday as they prepare for a crunch and difficult task of playing Zimbabwe in the Olympic Games qualifiers.
Ngwenya said they were looking to fully take advantage of the FIFA week so as to work on their preparations.

“We have decided to let the players go and play for their respective teams this weekend but we expect them to report back to camp on Sunday (tomorrow). We had thought there would be games mid-week but it turns out that there will be none so we decided that we continue with the full-time camp until the end of the FIFA week on Wednesday.”

Meanwhile the two-legged qualifying game against the Zimbabweans, who have already beaten the senior national team Sihlangu last year at Somhlolo National Stadium, will have its first match played on the weekend of April 24-26 away in Zimbabwe.
