MBABANE – Zambia’s champions Zesco United have already approached Mbabane Swallows formally for the services of star midfielder Felix Badenhorst.

The team’s coach, George Lwandamina was quoted to have said he was ready to break the bank to land the player’s services after he shone during the CAF Champions League second leg match in Zambia which Zesco won 1-0 to progress on a 2-1 aggregate. This was confirmed by Swallows acting CEO Sibusiso Manana.

“They have already made a formal enquiry. The matter is being handled by the team’s Chairman (Victor Gamedze).” Meanwhile, Manana said they were ready to release the player to whoever wanted him, so long as they would come to an agreement with that particular team. Badenhorst has been a revelation for the mighty ‘Birds’ this season, so much that he also earned an assessment with South Africa’s money-spinning league champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
