MBABANE – Embattled relegation candidates RSSC United have resumed training after coach Manuel Moiane intervened to end the players’ strike which had lasted for about three weeks.

The team got back to training yesterday after Moiane returned from Mozambique last week and summoned the players on Friday to plead with them to get back to work while management sorted out their issues.

This was confirmed by United acting PRO Zweli Mndzebele.

“It is true. The coach talked to the players and they are back at training as of today (yesterday). We are still working hard to have their grievances addressed but we are thankful that they have seen the importance of returning to training.” The players have not been paid their salaries for two months now along with the coaches, but Mndzebele said they would soon sort it out and would give them their dues.
