MATSAPHA – University of Swaziland (UNISWA), Kwaluseni Campus soccer team scored twice in each half to end Limkokwing’s unbeaten run in a 2-1 win yesterday.

The final score was not a true reflection of the game as the visitors fumbled countless opportunities in the second period of the NQ & NF Investments E70 000 Swaziland Universities and Colleges Sports Association (SUCSA) games clash at UNISWA Sports Ground.

Despite a less eventful opening half, the home side, parading almost forgotten former Midas City forward, Thando ‘Balotelli’ Shabangu, enjoyed a goal advantage at the break, courtesy of a Siyabonga Sibandze 27th minute strike.

Limkokwing enjoyed more of the possession after the restart but conceded against the run of play as Machawe Thwala doubled his team’s advantage when he beat a flat-footed defence two minutes after the recess.

The Mbabane-based institution kept asking questions and were eventually rewarded just three minutes after the hour mark as Bruce Seyama broke free to fire home from close range.

The game lost momentum towards the end but the hosts held onto the narrow lead to record their second win ahead of the round robin decider against IDM next week. UNISWA have seven points in three matches. Limkokwing, on the other hand, have finished their group matches, earning the same number of points. Both teams have done enough to reach the knockout stage.
