MBABANE – Twenty two Mbabane Swallows fans have travelled with the team to Zambia to watch the second leg tie against Zesco United in the CAF Champions League.

The 22 fans left the country by road yesterday and they are expected to arrive in Lusaka tomorrow morning. Mbabane Swallows National Supporters Committee (NSC) Jackson Dlamini confirmed yesterday.

“We were expecting over 60 fans to travel with the team but the response was not as our expectations. But that will not stop those who are willing to go and support the team to go. The 22 will represent the Swallows family well during the game,” he said.

Swallows leave the country this afternoon and they will spend a night in Johannesburg, South Africa before connecting a flight to Lusaka, Zambia tomorrow morning.  The game is slated for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Lusaka at 3:30pm.
Last year over 50 fans travelled to watch Swallows play Nkana but unfortunately the fans arrived six hours after the match.
