LOBAMBA – There was to be no other honeymoon for last season surprise team Amalanda, as they were put to the sword by a ruthless Mbabane Swallows by 7-0 yesterday.

The Shiselweni-based-shocked the local football landscape last season, beating Manzini Wanderers 2-1 and all eyes were on them not only for last year’s result, but also for having a former Swallows mentor Zenzele Ace Dlamini in their technical bench.

At Somhlolo National Stadium, they found out that it was always going to be hard to outwit the CAF Champions League bound red and white outfit, as Sabelo Sikhali Ndzinisa begun his revival with four goals.

Ndzinisa who had recently struggled upfront opened the score sheet only 13th minutes into the game when he rounded up Amalanda goalkeeper Phila Mamba before he scooped the ball to the back of the net.

As Amalanda pushed forward, they let acres of spaces for the masters in counter attacking football to exploit, as Swallows took the advantage. Just three minutes after the half hour mark, Ndzinisa scored the second goal with an easy finish after a pass from Sandile Hlatshwayo.

The Shiselweni Super League side created few chances that were easily cleared by the solid Mbabane Swallows defence.
Defender Colani ‘Tyson’ Magagula finish off the ball from Amalanda goalkeeper Phila Mamba save. This was a good header by Njabulo Ndlovu within the six yards from Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze free kick.

Swallows continued with their dominance towards half time. They added the fourth goal through Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko who took a hard short to the near post outside the 18 yards.
