MBABANE – Almost forgotten former Young Buffaloes defender Zweli ‘Stopper’ Msibi has dusted his soccer boots to join National First Division side Hellenic.

The towering defender who was no longer featuring for the security forces side, was registered by the struggling Mangwaneni-based outfit last week.  Msibi featured for his new team in the MTN National First Division clash played at the Prince of Wales Ground on Saturday.

The game ended in a goalless draw.
No immediate comment could be sourced from Hellenic Director Kenneth Dlamini, as his phone repeatedly rang unanswered when sought to shed light on the transfer.
Buffaloes spokesperson Sandile Gwebu confirmed the transfer, saying the lanky defender was loaned to the team for the remainder of the season.

Hellenic are enduring a disastrous season so far. They are in the relegation zone with only 14 points in 16 matches.
The move came barely a week after Red Lions also gave another retired Buffaloes player in midfielder Malungisa ‘Hurrah’ Dlamini a lifeline. Dlamini  featured in his side’s MTN Premier League 2-0 win over Malanti Chiefs in the past week.
