MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers coach, Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini has noted that his key players are fatigued, hence the subdued performance.

Dlamini noted that the team’s engine room in lanky attacking midfielder Sandile ‘Theo’ Motsa and captain Lwazi ‘Shana’ Maziya are fatigued and need to be rested.

The coach said he will rest the players whenever possible to accommodate the two.
“They are not necessarily fatigued by playing football but off the field issues can result in players getting fatigued even before the season ends. I think their workload is too much and that is affecting their performance.

“The situation is manageable though because we will continue resting the players and give fresh ones a chance to play. That is the only way to manage these kinds of situations,” said the former Mhlambanyatsi Rovers gaffer.
Dlamini surprised many during Wanderers’ crunch league encounter against city rivals Moneni Pirates when he benched the duo, who are regular starters alongside exciting winger Sihle Ndaba.

“We wanted to play the game in phases because of the same problem of fatigue. Unfortunately, things did not go according to our plans because we had wanted to introduce them to the game in a later stage.
“I have discovered that there are a lot of very good players in the club, who were unfortunately not given the chance to play.
