LOBAMBA – RSSC United’s days in the big league are numbered. Yesterday at Somhlolo National Stadium, the sugar belt ensemble succumbed to a 12th loss of the season when they were mercilessly butchered 3-1 by MTN League defending champions and runaway log leaders Royal Leopard.

RSSC United has won only one game the whole season – against second-placed Mbabane Swallows and drew three games. They have six points with six games remaining in what is turning out to be a nightmarish season for them.
Only a miracle now can see RSSC survive the dreaded chop. What a pity. What a tragedy for a side that held so much promise in the early stages of the season. They are placed on the bottom of the log standings. It is a hopeless situation and one that has seen the team’s coach, Manuel Moiane, lose his cool. The coach has lashed out at the team’s Management Committee for failing to register two Nigerian players, whom he feels can help them in their predicament.
Yesterday, RSSC looked far from winning.

They could not win against the mean-looking Leopard side that rattled the net exactly 27 seconds from kick-off.
Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane’s charges look dangerous, as RSSC found out the hard way. Straight from kick-off, with no RSSC United player having touched the ball, Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini celebrated scoring the opener.
Mthunzi Mkhontfo combined brilliantly with Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo and Mduduzi ‘Juries’ Gama before  Muzi slotted home from close range to stun the visitors.

Although the police ensemble dominated play for longer spells, they had to wait until the last eight minutes before scoring their second goal.
The gifted Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo could make no mistake from a Juries cross on the flank. Nxumalo found the target despite somehow miss kicking the ball after he was allowed to connect unmarked inside the danger area.
The teams went to the breather with Leopard comfortably on the driving seat.

On resumption of the last half, RSSC reduced the deficit through speedy striker Sibongo Ndzimandze with only four minutes played.
Leopard never panicked. In fact, there was always the feeling they could score at anytime they wanted to.
