Greetings to all of you Beautiful Birds. Happy New Year to you Mkhonto KaShaka! It is a brand New Year that brings with it so much hope and promise Swai Swai.
I am talking to you today so much happy that we have managed to crossover to 2015 and do hope that you bid farewell to 2014 in style.

For us, as the great Mbabane Swallows, it was a year of mixed fortunes. We certainly did not have it easy but we are glad when we look back that we managed to annex the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup Spectacular. We started on a high and of course we were also on course to defending our Castle Premier  Challenge only to lose in the final.

Needless to say we are proud of our boys. They continue to set very high standards of themselves. The tradition of this team is all about winning in doing so in great style. Swallows are a team founded on basic principles like integrity, honour and class. We are a team that prides itself in being the trendsetter. We have always led and others followed. Yes, Mbabane Swallows is not only the oldest existing club in the elite league but indeed it has become one big family that has united so many families.

We are one big family you cannot even imagine how big we are.
While the numbers at the playing venues also suggest we are among the leading sides in terms of attendance, we are fully aware that there are triple those numbers at home of those who for some reason or the other are unable to come watch us play. Our hearts are with them. Some are in the neighbouring countries, especially in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We cannot forget those who are overseas. Some are the country’s diplomats and envoys in other countries. We are with them as well and know that their hearts are hear.

This team has such a proud and rich history Mkhonto KaShaka we have an obligation to ensure that even future generations find Mbabane Swallows still in existence. Not only that, they should find the team still ‘sunk’ in its classy traditions.
Yes, Mbabane Swallows is a way of life that we all have the responsibility to ensure  the club lives on long after we are all gone.
Happy New Year to all mof you!
