REDEPLOYMENT NOT A PROBLEM – ‘SPUTLA’

MBABANE – Whether or not that it was by coincidence that Red Lions lost 5-2 to Manzini Wanderers on Sunday and then on Monday head coach Mlamuli ‘Sputla’ Zwane was redeployed to development, he is fine with it.

Commenting on the club’s confirmation of the latest status quo in yesterday’s edition of this newspaper, Zwane said it was a decision he respected. “The team’s director took the decision and I’m content with it. In fact, I started the development project with Under-20s here but never got it up to play but were registered. So for me it’s back to a project I started,” he said.

Asked if he had any reasons behind the move, especially given the timing as his team had just crashed to a smashing 5-2 defeat to Wanderers, Zwane said he needed no reasons as this was a decision by the team’s Director Didibhuku Thwala and he respected it. “I’m going to continue working for Red Lions as I believe they saw something and made the changes so I got no problem but to keep working,” he said.

He also said his redeployment may have coincided with the weekend result but said ‘a result is a result’, which cannot be changed.
