Dear Mkhonto KaShaka... Sanibonani Swai Swai hello to you all ‘Beautiful Birds’ on this wonderful Friday.
I am greeting you in the name of the Great Mbabane Swallows.

We are talking on the eve of our clash against army side Young Buffaloes, which will be played at Somhlolo National Stadium tomorrow. The game, Mkhonto KaShaka, will kick off at 4pm.

I need not remind you Swai Swai that we need your presence so much. We are glad, as a team, to note that the numbers are increasing. Please keep it up. In our last game against Malanti Chiefs, which was played at Somhlolo National Stadium, you braved the chilly weather and showed up in numbers. We are so proud of you. I expect you to do the same even tomorrow afternoon. Your presence always motivates us Swai Swai. You always create an intimidating atmosphere, clad in your beautiful replicas.

Yes, dress in red, navy blue and white to cheer the boys to victory.
Focus this week has been on preparing for Buffaloes. We are taking each game as it comes. We are not looking too far ahead. Our aim is to collect as many points as possible. We are not taking any game for granted.

That is why we need you so much Mkhonto KaShaka. Every game is important to us. That is why we salute you for not panicking in the early stages of the campaign because you always believed in your team. Some even said we would be relegated. Well, look at the log now. Who is likely to be relegated? In any case, we are far from being satisfied with our present log position. We know our place is on top of the summit. That is where we desire to be and we are positive that come end of the season, this great team will be where it is supposed to be.

Africa, here come the ‘Beautiful Birds’ yet again

It is once again a great pleasure to inform you, beautiful Birds, that our team will once again venture into Africa.
We will be competing in the Champions League. We now have the experience that will see us compete effectively in this tournament.
It is not a tournament for cry babies. This is a tournament that needs tough mental strength and intelligence. We have been there before Swai Swai, and we know what to expect. We still have sad memories of our painful exit in our last campaign when we lost to Zambia’s Nkana. We were robbed, period. We were subjected to terrible conditions in the return leg, which we never expected. The good thing though is that we took all that in our stride. We are now armed and dangerous. We are experienced and I believe that we will fare better.
We have also retained a majority of the players who did duty for us in the same competition.

Your wings Swai Swai

As usual, the hardworking National Supporters Committee (NSC) has once again ensured that you do not miss tomorrow’s game against Young Buffaloes, which will be played at the Somhlolo National Stadium. Your vibrant secretary, Jackson Dlamini, has asked me to remind all of you that the team’s merchandise is selling like hot cakes.

Do not miss out on the chance of contributing directly to your favourite team by buying our caps, T-shirts and replicas. The supporters’ committee has assured me that they are at your service Swai Swai.
I will talk to you again next week Swai Swai. I love you all!
Shaka akashayeki!
