POLICE WARN: THIS MAN IS DANGEROUS

MBABANE – The Royal Swaziland Police Service has warned the public to be careful and to be on the lookout for an armed suspect who moves from one place to another.

The said armed man, Austin Hlatjwako of Nkamanzi near Zombodze, is alleged to be in possession of an AK47 gun which he uses to induce people to surrender their properties.
Police said Hlatjwako allegedly committed most of the crimes around the Manzini region where in two separate incidents, he allegedly robbed two shops at Ekudzeni and Mbekelweni.
He is further said to have robbed a businessman of his car and cash in Mankayane.

In the Hhohho region, the armed suspect is said to have terrorized residents of Waterford, Mpolonjeni and Ezulwini where he also committed a string of armed robberies.
Mafutseni Police Station Desk Officer Inspector Moses Dlamini disclosed that the most wanted suspect is said to very dangerous, especially because he is armed.

“We want to warn the public about this man and wish to also appeal to anyone who has information or happens to identify the suspect to contact the Manzini Regional Branch Officer at 7611 1943, Lubombo Regional Branch Officer at 7607 5139 or Hhohho region Serious Crime Unit Officer at 7612 7994,” Dlamini said.
Some of the crimes allegedly committed by the suspect:

Under the Manzini region:
l Committed an armed robbery in a shop at Ekudzeni,
l Committed an armed robbery in a shop at Mbekelweni.
l Committed an armed robbery at T&F Motors, in Malkerns.
l Committed an armed robbery at Mankayane where he robbed a businessman of car and cash.
Under the Hhohho region
l Committed an armed robbery in Ezulwini.
l Committed an armed robbery at Mpolonjeni in Mbabane.
l Committed an armed robbery at Waterford.
Under the Lubombo region.
l Committed an armed robbery at/or around Railway in Mpaka.
l Committed an armed robbery at Mbadlane where he attacked an Indian’s shop.
