NOKWANE – Among the approximately 700 recruits who passed out yesterday was the son of His Majesty King Zwelithini of KwaZulu. The King, who was accompanied by Queen Mantombi, watched Prince Mandlesizwe graduate from the local army.

Worth noting is that the young prince had the opportunity to shake hands with his father when receiving a trophy for being the most perseverant recruit. He was among six recruits who excelled in various categories of their training.

There was excitement among the Zulu royal family, especially his sisters Princess Bukhosibemvelo and Princess Nomkhosi, when his name was called up to receive his award.
During lunch break, Prince Mandlesizwe was hugged and congratulated by his siblings.

Prince Mandlesizwe, who is now a member of Tinjojela, performed a Zulu traditional dance with his colleagues.
However, it could not be ascertained if the prince would be based in the country or not after his graduation.
Tinjojela is the name His Majesty King Mswati III gave to the regiment that passed out, yesterday.

The father said foreigners hve to go home but does it his son should come home his statements had lead to loss of life as a king should b custodian of culture should hve clear understanding of history I gve him small lecture of ,Nguniland present KZN there was a powerfull king shaka during the mfecane period leads to displacement of weak tribes running away from him . Remember borders were artificial created by whites there was no border so why a king talk senseless leading to bloodshed
