MANZINI – His Majesty the King is happy that Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini is now a married man.

The King’s sentiments were conveyed by Prince Mahlaba, who represented him at yesterday’s snazzy event.
His Majesty believes that Dlamini’s marriage is a blessing not only to his family but the country, especially because he is now going to share the joys and pains of his demanding job.
He said this during the wedding ceremony of the PM and Joy.

The lovebirds tied the knot at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, at a wedding attended by over 2 000 guests who were dressed to the nines.
The guest list included family and friends, Members of Parliament (MPs), ministers, the royal family, businesspeople as well as high ranking government officials.
Business magnate Nathan Kirsh and his wife Frances flew from the United States of America, specifically to attend the event.

Meanwhile, in his speech, as delivered by Prince Mahlaba, the King said he was pleased with Dlamini’s commitment because it showed that the country’s leadership was responsible and he respected the family institution.
His Majesty the king said by getting married, Dlamini proved to be a responsible man who led by example.

“The king hereby blesses your marriage. It is good to be married. You have a beautiful wife. You should love and take care of her for the rest of your life,” he said.
The King said getting married, through exchanging rings or wedding traditionally, was never enough.
“You should always show love and honour to your wife everyday. Niyasomana nize nife. Wayekela kumsoma kutobanenkinga kulomshado (It is important that you court her everyday because once you stop, there will be problems),” His Majesty said.

The King said he was happy that the PM would go to work a happy man with everything in order.
“Your clothes will be properly ironed and when you come back from work, you will find a hot fresh dinner,” he said.

Prince Mahlaba then announced that both His Majesty and Her Majesty the Indlovukazi had presented the newlyweds with gifts.
These presents included two single couch chairs trimmed with gold and a special closet cabinet among others.
