9 NEW CASES, DEATH TOLL STILL AT 113

MBABANE – The country recorded nine new COVID-19 cases and 28 recoveries yesterday.

The cases were confirmed by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi. 

The total number of cases in the country is 5 669. The confirmed cases came from 245 results that were received yesterday. Manzini Region recorded four cases followed by Hhohho and Lubombo with two cases each and one from the Shiselweni Region. 

From the confirmed cases, three were asymptomatic while six presented with mild symptoms. The youngest case was one in the zero to nine age bracket while the eldest was one in the 60 to 69 years group. The total number of recoveries in the country is 5 310 after the 28 that were recorded yesterday. This means that current active cases are 246. There is a difference of 5 064 between active cases and recoveries, in favour of the latter.  

There were no deaths that were recorded yesterday as the total is still 113 since October 7, 2020, where one death was reported.
