COUNTRY RECORDS HIGHEST CASES, 82

MBABANE – The country yesterday recorded 82 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is the highest since the first case was reported.
The highest number of cases confirmed before the 82 was 51, reported on June 11, 2020.


The new cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi, in a statement yesterday.
The 82 cases were from 410 test results. There are now 1 138 confirmed cases in the country.


Of the confirmed cases, the Manzini Region had 43, followed by Hhohho with 30 while Lubombo had five and four from the Shiselweni Region.
There were 50 asymptomatic cases while 32 presented with mild symptoms. Three cases were in the age bracket of zero to nine and another three were 80 years and above.


There is an addition of 18 recoveries, putting the total at 588. This means that the total number of active cases is 536.
