MBABANE – COVID-19 cases are now at 279 in the country.  The new statistics were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi, when she announced an additional seven positive cases yesterday.

Manzini Region has three cases, who are males, while the other four are from the Shiselweni Region, two from each gender.
The youngest is a one-year-old from the Shiselweni Region while the oldest is 37 from Manzini Region. From all seven, two presented with mild symptoms while the rest were asymptomatic.

An observation from statements by the health minister in the past three days, is that there seems to be more cases of COVID-19 than reported recoveries.

This is because in the past three days the country recorded 23 cases and only four recoveries unlike other days, where there would be up to 35 recoveries in one day. As of yesterday, there were no recoveries according to the minister.
