MBABANE – There has been a further 20 COVID-19 recoveries in the country.
This means Eswatini now has 48 recoveries in total.

Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi, in a statement released yesterday, revealed this when announcing an additional three cases, bringing the tally to 187 in the country.
There were 251 tests results that were received yesterday and of them, 248 were negative.
The 20 recoveries follow 13 others that were announced on Sunday.

As it stands, there are at least 137 people who are currently positive for the virus in the country.
However, with one person still missing registration to care, there are 136 people currently monitored for the virus. Of the 136, 70 are admitted and 63 are under home care. Of the three new cases reported yesterday, two are females and one is male.

They are in the working group bracket as they are 28, 29 and 38 years old. Also, two of them are from the Manzini Region while one is from Lubombo.  The minister emphasised the importance of adhering to health advice as the public was advised to wash hands with soap and running water or use a hand sanitiser and to observe hand hygiene always.

She further advised that people must cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing and preferably use a face mask.  “All suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 should wear a mask as advised by health practitioners and isolate themselves from others,” she said.

She stated that a mask should be worn properly, covering the nose and mouth and be kept in place until when it is changed for a fresh one.
