MBABANE – The low temperatures have failed to come between emaSwati and their love for culture.
Evidence to this was the big attendance on the ninth day of the Little Incwala Ceremony.

The ceremony, which is held in three of the royal residences, was graced by Lutsango, Imbali, Ingatja, Bokhololo and members of the armed forces.
The Little Incwala is currently danced at Ludzidzini Royal Residence, Ngabezweni Royal Residence and Mbangweni Royal Residence.
The event was graced by members of the royal family including Emakhosikati and Prince Lindani.

Ceremony

The Little Incwala is the opening of the annual Incwala Ceremony, which will be held at a date that is yet to be announced.
This is the most prestigious event in the history of the country, which marks the end of the current year and the beginning of the new one.

The main Incwala will be announced shortly after the commissioning of Ingatja to fetch lusekwane shrubs, which takes place during the full moon.
The main Incwala Ceremony is usually danced during the fourth day after the commissioning of Ingatja to fetch lusekwane.
