TEACHER ACCUSED OF IMPREGNATING FOUR PUPILS
MANZINI - A teacher of Sigombeni High School has been accused of sleeping with nine pupils and impregnating four in the process.
Sigombeni is situated in the Manzini Region. The name of the teacher is known to this publication but has been withheld as he has not been charged with any offence related to matter.
Information gathered from an impeccable source was that the implicated teacher had been sacked from two previous schools on similar allegations of sexual misconduct. It was also gathered that the matter was under active investigation as officials from the Manzini Regional Education Office had been dispatched to look into the allegations. According to the insider, the teacher in question allegedly had multiple love affairs with different pupils at the school, an act that fuelled rage among male pupils who were also involved in romantic relationships with the same pupils.
In retaliation to their (pupils) rage, the teacher is said to have victimised the male pupils to a point that they resorted to forming an alliance against him. So serious was the feud between the pupils and the teacher that the learners were reported to have stormed the teacher’s house one fateful night and bayed for his blood. “Fortunately the teacher was not home. His flat is located within the school compound and during the attack, the pupils found a certain teacher inside his house whom they severely assaulting,” said the source.
Reported
The attack was said to have been a wake-up call for the teacher who reported the matter to the head teacher. The head teacher is said to have summoned one of the ringleaders of the pupils who stormed the teacher’s house during the protest. “Upon being called for questioning, the pupil spilled the beans concerning the bad blood between them (pupils) and the teacher and in his confession, he pointed out that the bone of contention was the female pupils whom the teacher was allegedly ‘snatching’ from them,” alleged the source. In response, the head teacher is reported to have then sought the intervention of the school committee.
However, when they attempted to investigate the matter, they were allegedly informed by the head teacher that pursuing the matter was not worth it because the allegations levelled against the teacher could not be substantiated.
