Radiant

During the dancing of maidens at the arena in their different traditional attire, both the princess and actress were seen going to the stadium to appreciate the girls. Consequently, Princess Sibahle who led the maidens at Ludzidzini, was a no-show. Instead, Princess Sakhizwe took over and led the maidens triumphantly. Dancing to ‘giya mzalwane giya’ and ‘abamtsatse umtsakatsi aye ayikangeni,’ the princess danced for about 15 minutes while the maidens burst in song. The ceremony was closed victoriously when Princess Temaswati entered the arena accompanied by Princess Tiyandza. Meanwhile, Lutsango could not hide their excitement when the girls danced. The Lutsango flooded the arena and were seen carrying money and throwing oranges into the stadium. The delight went on until they were advised to refrain from constantly entering the stadium since they caused disturbance to the dancing maidens.  On another note, during the arrival of His Majesty King Mswati III in the VIP section, he shook hands with the dignitaries who had attended the ceremony. Among the people he exchanged pleasantries was Luis Leite, who was on Saturday seen fitting a white feather on Princess Tiyandza’s head.
