NHLANGANO – His Majesty King Mswati III has encouraged Ngwane College graduands to remain strong despite the challenges they are likely to face out there in the real world.

When delivering his congratulatory message to the aspiring teachers during the institution’s graduation ceremony yesterday, His Majesty the King said the country needed teachers who would be clear about their responsibility towards shaping the future of the country by imparting knowledge to the young generation.

“There is no doubt that the responsibility of the teacher is enormous and we trust that all the graduands here today will carry it out with pride and determination. Go out there and change our society for the better,” declared His Majesty the King.

He told the graduands that their perseverance had paid off. He said the graduands’ achievements were proof that education remains the only instrument for the betterment of human life.

“We are aware that as you go out there, you might face challenges in finding jobs, but I wish to encourage you that you must not despair. Instead, you can utilise the skills acquired over the years of your training to contribute towards the success of your communities,” advised the king.

Speaking on the same occasion, University of Eswatini’s Vice Chancellor Professor Justice Thwala appealed to the graduands to make the college proud by being hardworking and committed to upholding ethical and professional conduct as they execute their duties.

“We are also counting on you to help eliminate all forms of abuse, sexual offences, domestic violence, discrimination as well as all forms of harassment in the various places you will be working within the context of the recently enacted Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Act,” he said.
