WOMAN MAULED BY 15 DOGS

MBABANE – A woman is lucky to be alive after she was attacked by 15 dogs which left her with a bruised face and hip.
The woman of Fonteyn has the heavens to thank for keeping her alive after the incident.

The woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, said she was heading home from a prayer session on the mountains.
“It was 11am and I was on my way home from the mountains as we always go there to pray with believers. On my way back, I came across the pack of dogs and they came charging towards me and attacked,” she said.

The woman further stated that she was in a state of panic when the dogs attacked her and all she could remember was that she screamed helplessly as she fell and the dogs all came barking and finally bit her.

She said she thought it was the end of her life as she had never been attacked by dogs in her life.

Upon shouting for help, the woman said nobody came to her rescue and the children who witnessed the incident could not help her as they feared that the vicious dogs would attack them as well. “Luckily, one of the prayer women I go to the mountains with came to my rescue. I call this divine protection because she only came without any armoury and the dogs just left me alone,” she added.

Furthermore, the woman alleged that the dogs were said to have been known to be fierce and had once attacked their owner. She expressed her grief over the countless trips she had to make to her doctor until her treatment was completed. The woman said she was currently being treated for rabbies.

Breastfeeding

In addition, the woman also mentioned that the doctors had instructed her to stop breastfeeding her infant baby while she was on treatment as this would affect its health. She said this was a huge blow as she had to buy formula milk, which was costly and she could not afford it as she was unemployed.
