NDABA NOT MURDERED FOR HIS CAR - FAMILY

SIVULE – “We are not convinced that Sifiso Ndaba was killed for his car.”

This was a sentiment that was shared by family members and mourners during the burial of the kidnapped and slain Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Aid Fund (SMVAF) manager held yesterday at Sivule in Nhlangano. The mourners said the alleged killers were too young to plot Ndaba’s killing, judging from the manner in which the offence was committed. “If they really wanted his car as they alleged in their confession, they would have not burnt it,” some family members said. The suspects, in their confession, said they killed Ndaba for his car as they had allegedly found a buyer in Mozambique.

The mourners and relatives felt strongly that Ndaba was wanted dead for reasons known to the perpetrators whose deeds will one day come to light. “It has been stated that Ndaba pleaded with the killers not to kill him after they kidnapped him from his house at Mpolonjeni. The fact that he gave them his PIN for his bank card before they withdrew his money showed that they had all the reason to forgive him. It is clear that they did not release him because he was wanted dead,” said the mourners. Ndaba’s relative, who was identified as Dlamini openly said the family was emotionally and physically abused after they saw Ndaba’s corpse at the mortuary on Monday. Dlamini said  if the criminals were flies, they could see how much they had put them through.

“It is clear that Sifiso was killed for his kindness but I still maintain that he did not deserve this. The manner in which he was killed showed that there was a criminal element that needs to be investigated to its finality,” Dlamini said. He said from Sifiso’s death, they had learnt that even kind people could die anyhow as long as their Creator would accept their souls.
Dlamini recalled how they learnt that God had revealed to Reverend Nicholas Nyawo that Sifiso had died after his disappearance. This, he said was during the prayer after they received the news of Sifiso’s kidnapping. “I am still angry. Even though I am not a violent person, I cannot talk peace after what befell us but I trust that God will heal us. If God decides to take and accept His son’s soul, there is no reason to be angry at someone,” he said.
