MBABANE – Could His Majesty’s vision of an HIV negative country by 2020 come true?

The government of Eswatini has been invited, with all other African countries, to try and test a possible herbal viral suppressant.
Eswatini seems to be prepared to take up the challenge and look further into the herb’s chemical formulation.

This follows the discovery of a plant by controversial Zimbabwean Prophet Walter Magaya some two years ago, which he said was high in phytochemicals and capable of fighting disease such as HIV and cancer.

Magaya is founder of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries.
Phytochemicals are defined as non-nutritive chemicals found in plants. However, despite their ‘non-nutritive’ status, these powerful little molecules can impact your health in amazing and surprising ways.

“Well, current research indicates that many of these chemicals can impact everything from your hormonal status, to your disease risk, to the medications you take, to your ability to fight off colds and infections,” the Science Learning Hub states.

evidence

Research on specific phytochemicals in foods and their effects on disease risk is limited but yielded enough evidence to strongly suggest that consuming foods and beverages rich in these compounds may help prevent disease.

The prophet said he has done a lot after the discovery of the plant, which includes scientific tests in various laboratories, manufacturing capsules out of the plant and testing it on hundreds of people in his country (Zimbabwe) and outside.

Magaya launched the tablets called Aguma Onco last Sunday at his church in Harare, Zimbabwe, where he told congregants and the media who had gathered for the church’s fifth anniversary celebrations, that the tablets would be on sale starting from today.

“The plant has phytochemicals which can treat, kill and suppress. I have also found that our people have tested negative after consuming it,” claimed the prophet.

errands

When asked about how he discovered the plant, Magaya said he was doing his errands in his farm when he came across the plant that attracted his curiosity.
“I cut a certain root and planted it somewhere else. When I checked later on I found it had matured. I realised that it was capable of growing back quite fast . Since it looked unfamiliar, I asked around with my local guys and they said it had not been seen or found before,” he said.

He said to verify the properties that the plant had, he took it to laboratories where it was tested.
He said he had to carry out scientific tests for the non-believers who would not listen to him without scientific evidence.

To other countries and the world at large, Magaya said, “I believe it’s the beginning of a new era for the world. There is a vaccine now. I want the world to give me a chance to prove myself scientifically and chemically, and not to give a chance to the Americans only.”

protect

When asked about the plant, Magaya said he would not mention the name for now as he felt he had to protect it until all investigations around it were concluded.
He said his reactions towards the results were normal because he already knew God had a purpose about the tree in the first place.

“I am sure there is enough of this plant here in my country, even if it were to be considered for processing by the health organisations,” he said, adding that he had done everything within his might to protect it from depletion.
