MBABANE – A South African national was allegedly killed and dumped at the Mbabane Government Hospital casualty department.
The man was booked at Swazi Oak Lodge prior to being allegedly killed.

He was, however, not killed at the Lodge as an eyewitness said he left the premises alive.
Police stated that there were no visible wounds on the deceased’s body which could help ascertain how he had been killed.
According to Joseph Gwebu, who is a security guard stationed at Swazi Oak Lodge and speaking with permission from his superiors, the man had been enjoying alcoholic beverages at the establishment with two other men earlier on Saturday.
Later, in the afternoon, the two men left, leaving the South African national. The man is then said to have asked that they call him a taxi at around 9pm.

When the taxi arrived, the South African man went out to talk to the taxi driver, and a grey Corsa van drove into the lodge.
Three men got out of the van and one of them started playing with a dog on the premises while another spoke to South African man.
Gwebu said he left the four gentlemen and went to attend to one of the guests in the establishment.

While he was gone, he said he heard a noise and another security guard came running to call him, informing him that there was a fight.
Fight.
“When I went to where they were, I found that the man was being attacked with fists and I stopped the fight. The driver of the van calmed down but one of the men was adamant that they wanted their money and phones. I could not understand where or how the property had been taken or who took it between the men,” Gwebu said.

He went on to explain that one of the men, who also arrived in the van and was also assaulted, had disappeared while he stopped the fight.
The two men then bundled the South African into the back of the van, as it had a canopy and told Gwebu they were going to the police.

The security guard said after the three left, the other man who had disappeared then came back claiming that he had lost his phone at the spot where he had been assaulted.
They searched for the phone but did not find it and he left.
