MANZINI – SNAT presidential candidate Mbongwa Dlamini has taken a swipe at government over the PSPF probe impasse and outgoing MPs.

Dlamini, who is currently the chairperson of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) Manzini Branch, used a farewell function of a former teacher of Sigcineni Catholic Primary School, Mary Dlamini to criticise the Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF) for its alleged inefficiency in serving the public.

A source, who was present during the function, said due to the fact that the event was about a retiring teacher, Dlamini alluded to some factors that affected retired civil servants and that was when the issue of the PSPF came up.

He said the SNAT representative said at the rate that the parastatal was operating, it was highly possible that those who would retire in the next 10 years would only know of how much they would stand to benefit from PSPF by only seeing digits on white paper but not be able to access their money.

He said this would be due to that government coffers would not have money by that time.
He opined that this would be due to that the organisation (PSPF) would be as broke as a church mouse.
This opinion, Dlamini said, was derived from the fact that some reports were to the effect that there was money that was allegedly loaned to individuals who did not follow the necessary procedures when applying for loans.
