MISSING MAN’S BODY FOUND WITH NO HAND

NTFUTFWAKATI – A body of a man who was reported missing at Ntfutfwakati has been found with some body parts missing.

According to residents, the body was found about 500 metres away from his homestead, which is located at Ntfutfwakati under Lubulini Constituency.

The man’s remains were allegedly found stuffed under vegetation, according to residents.
One of his hands and a thumb were reported to be missing from the body.

Killings

Coincidentally, the gruesome discovery was made last Wednesday, on the same day His Majesty the King spoke sternly against ritual killings, apparently linked to the forthcoming national poll, at the Royal Cattle Byre when he dissolved Parliament.
However, the cause of the death had not been determined at the time of compiling this report but ritual murder could not be ruled out by residents.

The shocking discovery has led to a serious investigation by the police, who indicated that the body had been taken for further examination.

A relative to the 66-year-old deceased man said the body was found by a neighbour on Wednesday morning.
The close relative said Nyameni Ndzimandze, who had been living at Ntfutfwakati his entire life, disappeared from his homestead on June 17, 2018 and had not been found until last Wednesday.

She said one of the family members had expressed her concern when she didn’t find him at home when she arrived to check on him on the Sunday he was reported missing.
“We first believed that he may have travelled to the nearby health facilities to seek treatment, but when enquiries were made, no person befitting his description was reported to have arrived,” she said.

The woman mentioned that from there, a search was commissioned by the local community police. She said officers from the national police service also encouraged the community to continue searching, until the outcome eventually turned out disastrous.

The relative disclosed that the neighbour was out in the veld searching for her goats which had not slept in their enclosure on the previous night, when she stumbled upon what first appeared to her as a bundle of clothing. However, upon closer inspection , she later discovered that it was the body of the elderly man, who had been reported missing.
