MANZINI – A land dispute between the late businessman Boy Motsa’s son and a popular apostle had led to a road blockade that inconvenienced some Lwandle and Ngwane Park residents on Saturday.

Residents of Lwandle, near Ngwane Park, where the late businessman’s blockyard is situated, found a truck, a tipper parked in the middle of the roadway and could not access the nearby public roads on the day.
It was later gathered that the truck had been allegedly parked by the businessman’s son, Sakhiwo, who is currently involved in a land dispute with the apostle.

Apostle Fred Msimango of Jesus for the World Ministry Church and his construction team have already dug up the foundation near the block yard and are preparing to begin the construction of their new church.
Church members alleged that Sakhiwo had allegedly stopped the construction and revealed that the church building would not take off as the land belonged to his late father.
“When we started the construction and poured quarry, he allegedly instructed his employees at the block-yard to vandalise.”

“On Saturday, when he saw trucks going to the place to deliver more quarry and sand, he blocked the public road and alleged it was part of his land,” one of the church members alleged on Sunday.
Another member alleged that the land dispute had been ongoing for a while now and as a church, they were worried and feared the worst.

On the day, motorists who resided nearby had to allegedly seek the services of a neighbour who had a grader, which cleared another section of the land where their vehicles eventually managed to go through.
“We were inconvenienced the whole day and could not go anywhere in vehicles as the road had been blocked by the truck. We also feared to contact the police as we did not want to be implicated in any way or get assaulted.
“We were fortunate enough as there was a resident who managed to use his grader and clear the forest for a temporary drive-through,” a resident, who also preferred anonymity, alleged
When Apostle Msimango was sought for comment, he confirmed the current land dispute.

The man of God, however, said he was allegedly allocated the piece of land situated near the Motsa blockyard by the Lwandle Umphakatsi, under Chief Nkamane Mkhatjwa.
“The land belongs to the church and we got it legally from the umphakatsi and the inner council at Eticancweni is also aware of the matter. The land we are currently utilising does not belong to the late Boy Motsa.
“There was an appeal after Motsa’s land was extended and Chief Nkamane rejected everything at the time, hence we are continuing with the construction. We are Christians and we will not fight over such minor issues,” Msimango alleged.
