BOY (16) ESCAPES BRUTAL MURDER ATTEMPT BY 3 MEN

 MATSAPHA – A 16-year-old boy miraculously escaped from the clutches of three armed men.

The incident took place at Mafutseni, in the Manzini Region on Sunday at around 3pm and it has left community members, especially children, living in fear of being murdered.

According to his family,  *Bafana, who is doing Form II in one of the schools in the region, was playing soccer with his friends next to his parental home.

Later on, the boy asked to be excused so that he could answer the call of nature in the nearby bush, which is a stone’s throw from where they were playing.
However, when he approached the nearby bush, three men wearing balaclavas emerged and allegedly grabbed the unsuspecting boy.
They allegedly threw him to the ground while one of them covered the boy’s mouth so that he could not shout for help.

Without wasting time, the other two men drew their knives and tried to slit the defenceless boy’s throat open.  However, after three attempts to end the boy’s life by cutting his throat, they did not succeed as the cuts did not go deep enough to kill the teenager.
Meanwhile, some of his friends, especially those who were in the same team with Bafana shouted for  him to come back because their opponents were having a field day as they were one player down.

As the boys continued to whistle for their friend to come back, the men got disturbed and fled the scene.  In the meantime, the teenage boy also got a chance to escape.

He ran towards one of the nearest homes but because he was bleeding profusely, he lost his strength before he could reach the home. He then leaned on the fence so they could easily see him.
