MBABANE – Police have arrested Mbuso Ncaza Nkosi who was wanted in connection with the murder of Victor Gamedze.

Details of the arrest of the South African national were not immediately available but it was gathered that he was arrested in his home country over the weekend.
Information gathered was that four male police officers from the 10-man task team involved in the investigation of the murder case went to the neighbouring country on Thursday evening.

The four officers are known but will not be named because of the ongoing investigations.
While in SA, they liaised with their counterparts with the information they had on the wanted suspect and he was eventually found and arrested.
Information on where and when he was arrested could not be ascertained when this report was being compiled as the local police officers also asked not to comment on anything pertaining to the latest developments.

On Sunday morning, three police officers were spotted at the Mbabane Magistrates Court where they needed the magistrate, who was on duty to issue a warrant of arrest against Nkosi.

The warrant of arrest was eventually issued at the courthouse by one of the judicial officers in his chambers and within five minutes, the police officers who are part of the 10-man team were seen leaving the courthouse.

Information gathered was that Nkosi could have possibly arrived in the country yesterday after the warrant of arrest was issued, as it was a matter of time for the local police to fetch him from the Republic of South Africa.

Origin

A legal expert stated that the warrant of arrest issued by the judicial officer meant that Nkosi had been arrested in his country of origin.
Nkosi had been put up on Interpol as a wanted suspect for the murder of Gamedze.
