NHLANGANO – Seemingly, the investigation around the murder of prominent businessman Victor Gamedze is likely to open up a whole can of worms.

Indications are that more people might find themselves on the wrong side of the law as the investigation around the murder suspect continues.
That is if the reported interviews of certain government officials is anything to go by.

The officials have been reportedly roped in to assist police with information over the alleged use of two national identity cards by murder suspect Sipho Shongwe to obtain a travel document and an international passport, .

The investigation is said to have been carried out even in the Shiselweni Region where Immigration officers were called upon to assist the police pertaining to the matter. Shongwe is one of the suspects in the murder that shook the whole country and the entire southern African region.

This publication was reliably informed that a team of investigators joined forces with other departments on Wednesday to tackle the issue of how different national identity cards ended up in the hands of one person.

The case currently under investigation has demonstrated how easy it can be for people in the country to obtain and use multiple ID cards, and as well as travel documents if the allegations by the investigating team into Gamedze’s murder are anything to go by.
In the past, officials had been confronted with a thriving black market which produced fraudulent documents that were then sold in the streets.
