SHOCK AS BODY OF RAPED, MURDERED MAID DUG UP

EKUTSIMLENI – Residents watched in horror and shock as a naked body of a murdered woman was dug up from a shallow grave by police officers a week ago.

The incident occurred at Ekutsimuleni, near Luve. The woman Nolwazi Sifundza (23), who has since been buried, was a helper and looked after her sister’s children.

She was allegedly dragged to a nearby bush, situated near Mcozini and raped before she was strangulated to death allegedly by a man, who has since been arrested by the police. Her corpse was later buried in a shallow grave, allegedly by the same man.

Information gathered from residents yesterday around where the incident happened, is that herd boys who were looking after cattle on the day were hit by a stench coming from the forest and later dogs carrying what looked like pieces of large meaty bones.

Allegations are that when the herd boys went further into the forest, they noticed what looked like hair extensions and bones poking out of the ground.

Upon closer inspection, they allegedly discovered that it was dreadlocks as Nolwazi spotted this hairstyle before she was allegedly raped and murdered.

The group of boys went to inform a community police member whom, upon discovering that there was a body buried in the shallow grave, rushed to contact the police.

On his way there, he allegedly came across a police officer, identified as Noah Dlamini, who happened to be Sifundza’s brother-in-law and employer, who was on his way to watch a local soccer match in the area.
