MBABANE – Like a no ending Nigerian movie, there seems to be new and interesting information that is uncovered about Mangwaneni each day.

Court documents which this publication is in possession of, state that Mangwaneni is in the Mbabane urban area.
This is contained in a sworn affidavit by Surveyor General Sydney Boy Simelane and forwarded to the registrar of the High Court in August 16, 2016.

“I certify that the area known as Mangwaneni, a remainder of Portion 388 of Farm No. 2, is situated within the Mbabane urban area boundaries,” reads the affidavit.

The affidavit was submitted in court as part of evidence in the matter between Babaza Muzi Magongo and respondents; Fridah Hlophe (Nee Magongo), Sandile Ndzingane, Master of the High Court, Attorney General, and the municipal Council of Mbabane.
According to the court papers, the matter was one for the eviction of the first and second respondents from a certain residence described as a homestead of Zephania Magongo, situated at Mangwaneni area.

The papers state that the eviction of the first and second respondents was predicated on a decision purportedly made by the Mangwaneni Royal Kraal dated November 30, 2015.

The papers state that Hlophe and Ndzingane contended that they had a lawful and legitimate right to be in occupation of the residence by virtue of a ruling made by the Mangwaneni Local Community Committee (LCC).
