MAN CHAINS 3 KIDS OVER MISSING E300

MANZINI – It was almost similar to a scene in ‘Django unchained’ movie when three minors were tethered for allegedly stealing E300.

Residents of Boyane, in the Manzini region, were shattered when they discovered three children who were tied to a man late at night on Tuesday.

The residents were shocked by the fact that the minors were chained to the man, who followed them with a stick (umzaca), which they first thought was a spear.

According to Sifiso Dube, a community police member who was the first to suspect that something was amiss, the children and the man were seen at around 7:30pm.
He said he was from church around the area with his brother.

When they saw the man, Dube said they were puzzled but feared that he would either hurt them or the children when he was confronted. Consequently, the community police member said they let the man pass them, with the children in tow.

A few minutes later, Dube said they came across a car from the direction where the man was headed with the children.

Out of worry, the community police member said they enquired from the car driver whether he had seen the man with chained children, and his response was to the affirmative.
Meanwhile, calls to nearby residents who would help stop the man were made. Just around that time, another vehicle headed towards the direction of the man approached and the two brothers and other residents stopped it and informed the driver of what they suspected.
They then all drove after the man.
