MANZINI – A Swazi prophet, who alleged he had a vision which led him to where kidnapped businessman Almor Oliveira was held captive, was arrested by the Mozambican police last week.

The prophet, Hebert Vilane (52), who is employed at the King’s Office, under the Border Restoration Department, left the country last Monday to allegedly get the kidnapped businessman, whom he claimed had been kept in a certain house situated at the Inhaca Island.
The Inhaca Island is a breathtaking natural heritage site situated in the south of Mozambique.

It is across Maputo Bay from the country’s capital, making it an ideal weekend destination for people working in Maputo or tourists who would like to experience both the urban and rural Mozambique.
To access the island, one has to use a boat or plane.

When interviewed prior to his visit to Mozambique, Vilane claimed that Oliveira was still alive and kept in a house by rich people, who made sure he was provided for with all his necessities.
Vilane approached the Royal Swaziland Police (RSP) for assistance and protection as he had alleged that the businessman’s captors were armed and dangerous.

The prophet, whose church is called Synagogue Church of Christ (SCOC), also alleged that upon approaching the RSP, they denied to assist him and told him about protocol issues.

However, this publication reliably gathered that a team of four police officers left the country after Vilane had allegedly given them directions to the place where the kidnapped businessman was allegedly kept.
