MBABANE – While many women pray for the safe return of their husbands who were reported missing, Tenele Dlamini wants a divorce from her allegedly missing partner.

Dlamini filed the divorce papers seeking a final decree of divorce at the Mbabane Magistrates Court. Her decision came after her husband, Bandile Khoza, allegedly went missing from her rented flat at Mbuluzi since January this year.
She said since her husband left her house, he never came back, something which has left her with the view that he was no longer interested in their marriage.

“I have tried to locate him but my efforts yielded no results. His relatives say they normally see him in different places around Mbabane but since he left, I have never come across him,” Dlamini alleged.

The duo was married in community of property in September 2011. Their marriage was witnessed by church members and their families.
However, two years after their marriage, the couple is said to have started encountering problems in their union.
Dlamini informed the court that they were faced with financial problems at their homestead, in that her husband was allegedly no longer providing any financial support.

Reasons

“He never worked longer than three months and he had no valid reasons for that. I became a breadwinner in the relationship, yet I had a husband who didn’t want to work and support his family,” she alleged.
She said she reported the matter to Khoza’s family and the church elders but nothing changed.
