MBABANE – A second police officer and a businessman are being questioned by the police in connection with the death of ‘S’chaza’.

On Monday afternoon, Lucky ‘Obama’ Matsenjwa was arrested in connection with the murder of Mduduzi Matsebula, who was popularly known as S’chaza.
With the tense investigations being conducted by the police, another known officer from Mbabane was called in for questioning.
The businessman, who is also well-known was also called to the police station yesterday, allegedly to help with the ongoing investigations.

Both the police officer and businessman are known to this publication but will not be named as they had not been charged at the time this report was compiled last night.
Information gathered was that the police officer and the businessman arrived at the police station at around 9am and they were kept in one of the offices for the better part of the day until way after 5pm.
Meanwhile, it was gathered  that Matsenjwa was from Nelspruit and when he arrived at Ngwenya Border Gate on Monday, he found that the police stationed there had been alerted to take him into custody the moment he set foot in the country.

Everything was kept under wraps yesterday as some officers at the station did not know what was going on concerning the investigations.
Some of the police officers at the station stated that they had not even seen Matsenjwa in the holding cells and suspected that he was still being interrogated in an office.
Superintendent Khulani Mamba, Chief Police Information and Communications Officer, confirmed that they had questioned some people in connection with the death.
“Investigations are still ongoing about the case and we do not want to reveal certain information which is obtained during our investigations. For now we confirm the arrest of Matsenjwa and that we are questioning more people on the death of S’chaza,” Mamba said.

He said he could not get into detail about the questioning of other people as it would jeopardise their investigations.
He did say, however, that they were not hiding anything from the public, and they would ensure that they release information as soon as there were more arrests.
The questioning of the businessman was, however, shared on social media networks, including Facebook and WhatsApp yesterday.

When S’chaza’s lifeless body was discovered it had missing body parts and it is suspected that animals from the river he was found in had eaten the nose and his mouth.
The results of the post-mortem confirmed fears by many that the late law enforcer might have been killed.
Some of his colleagues could not recognise him when the body was retrieved from the river as his face was disfigured.
When the body was discovered, he was wearing jeans, sweat shirt and socks without his shoes.
