MORE THAN 22O JOBS UP FOR GRABS AT RSSC

MBABANE – It’s jobs galore at RSSC as over 200 people stand to be employed, with 12 of them holding permanent positions.


RSSC is the Royal Swaziland Sugar Corporation.
A large number of the job opportunities are as a result of the start of the harvesting season while a smaller number will be hired on a permanent basis.


According to an advert, which has been running since the beginning of this week, the company will be conducting the first stage of its annual recruitment of seasonal harvesting employees starting next week.
The total number to be recruited for the harvesting season is 227.
It is stated that at this stage only individuals who completed the 2016/2017 season would be considered but that not all of them were guaranteed recruitment.


The recruitment exercise is looking for individuals to work as shift and burning team leaders, harvesting contract supervisors, field controllers, office clerks, load operators, personnel carrier and truck drivers.
Others are gleaning survey recorders, burning tractor driver, weighbridge clerks, burning assistants, field handover and ticket recorders, invoice verification clerk and gleaners and a burning tractor driver.


The recruitment centres have been identified as Nhlangano Police Station on April 10, 2017, Siteki Regional Headquarters on April 11, Mliba Police Station on April 12 while Tshaneni Police Station will be the last place on April 13.


Group Public Affairs Manager Sifiso Nyembe said, “We are preparing for the start of the harvesting season and require a lot of human resources.
“We are happy to be contributing to the creation of jobs as one of the active contributors to social economic development.”


Besides recruiting for the harvesting season, the company has also advertised 12 vacancies on its website where it has invited individuals to join its workforce.
